Tip-Toeing

2,993 Hands

I was able to make some small steps towards my goal yesterday which was actually no small feat as I started the day stuck a bunch. I've taken a lot of beats the last couple days, and knowing that just taking back one of those pots would really skyrocket my results this week is both encouraging and disappointing. I hope I can turn up the heat for the last 8k hands this month.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306692 This guy really overplayed his hand :P

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306695 Much tougher spot than it appears. Guy is telling me that he is all in. I got one back on this fold, what do you think?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306698 Should I be checking that turn?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306701 Annoying fold but I think a correct one.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306704 I suckout pretty good here, but seriously, am I supposed to be folding this many overpairs?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306708 This guys is a 40/7 and button cold calls. He ended up with K9, but I wasn't ready to give all credit on the flop. Bad? I just can't fold the flop imo.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306712 This guy got a flat tire trying to take me to valuetown.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306722 Am I supposed to bet the turn?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306728 I got killed with sets yesterday. Implied odds through your mother's roof on this hand. Guy is a weak station.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306734 Throw up and fold?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306736 My AA gets the bronze medal vs. KK and QQ but I was first out of the hand.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306743 Is this just awful on my part? I forget the guys stats, but I know he isn't min raising with a flush draw there. I dunno.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306748 Ultra annoying when the guy shows up with the AK overboat after just calling a raise preflop.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1306755 Look how much value I missed with those stack sizes! WTF OPP GO ALL IN! Boy was I mad here. Can I really c/r all in?

I didn't realize how many real honest questions I had about the session till right now. I kept the beat posting to a min tho!

I also looked up one of the regulars on Fulltilt at 2+2 and saw how ridiculous his stats were. He says he's had 4 losing days in about 4 months sporting a 10bb/100 win rate. He plays a 28/19 which is pretty sick at a full ring table. He is a very tough opponent and I can attest to his stats that he posted. Although I don't feel like I can adopt his style, I definitely took some pointers from a recent "well" post (where everyone gets to ask any question and he answers.) It's good to see people able to beat a game for more than 2-3bb/100. Maybe there is still hope that I can keep up a 5bb/100 win rate.

It was also funny seeing people with a 4k bankroll at the 200 max forums. Not that I think 20 buy ins is too little, but I just realized how over rolled I am for this limit. 125 Buy ins a ton. I just hope I can rock here for maybe another 150k hands and with a good win rate, start moving up to the 400max with 100 buy ins.

Yesterday's Net +$348
Total Goal Left $4611
